Borne out of frustration and passion, in 2007 the creators sought to address the imbalance and often total absence of finely crafted imported beer in local watering holes and restaurants.

How many times we were faced with a mouth watering and diverse selection of fine foods with the only accompaniment a decidedly uninspired offering of local beers and the usual suspects of the ‘premium’ list.

The opportunity to savour a truly unique beer, befitting of a five star meal became our goal.

And this could only be realised through a far-reaching pursuit of boutique breweries across the world driven by our own sense of purpose and introducing them to Australian palates.
